I like the two for one coverage I get when I apply the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation, in addition to the impressive matte finish that creates an attractive, flawless face. MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation contains both silica – which absorbs the oils, and talc which absorbs the moisture (and prevents caking).  My face maintains a fresh, clean, vibrant and flawless look throughout the day, and lasts at least eight hours before a touch up is necessary. This is definitely a product I would recommend for your beauty bag!

I use the latex sponge which comes in the packaging; it is soft and flexible and can pick up a generous amount of product with one swipe. I also use my MAC brush #134, to apply the Studio Fix when I want a sparse amount of product on my brush for a natural, radiant, flawless finish.  I was so pleased with the results of the MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation – NW45 I was wearing, as it complimented my neutral, understated makeup… and kept it on point!

 On Saturday my husband and I went out for a date night; it was such a beautiful evening! The food was extraordinary, and the service was impeccable. The Italian restaurant is tucked away by the harbor side, and is possibly one of the best kept secrets in this quaint town 60 minutes east of Toronto.

A Noteworthy Birthday!

Hello Beautiful People!

This year’s birthday was pretty special for me, I ended a decade of an amazing journey of true womanhood. Overall, life has been good! I have had to make a lot of lemonades with the lemons life served, but I was blessed in that decade, I accomplished so much, and more importantly, I did not have to spend one day in a hospital bed.

So, I celebrated the beauty of life, the hope of a bright future, the discovery of the fountain of youth and the blessing of good health with my husband, Kelvin; our birthdays are only two days a part. We went high in the skies of Toronto, which is symbolic of how we intend to soar in the next decade of our lives.

We dined at Canoe Restaurant, located on the 54th floor of the TD Bank Tower, at               66 Wellington Street West, just west of Bay Street on the north side. We had a splendid time! Please take a moment enjoy our birthday experience with us. Bon Appetit!

I was honoured to be one of the presenters at the Black Business & Professional Association (BBPA), 6th Annual National Black Business and Professional Convention (NBBPC) – EXPO 2015 in Toronto.

The two-day convention showcased the best in business, entrepreneurship, education and finance, attracting Canada’s brightest students, top employers, entrepreneurs, visionaries, and government officials as well as the BBPA’s strategic partners and valued sponsors for two days of information, innovation and inspiration.

The convention focused on organizations and institutions that promote diversity, a trademark character that distinguishes Canada and its corporations from those across the globe – BBPA.

Hello Again Beautiful People!

My husband and I recently dined at a cozy family owned restaurant in the trendy Ossington Ave and Queen St. West neighbourhood, Toronto, named Soos. The staff were warm and welcoming, the atmosphere was relaxed, the décor was vibrant and the music was energetic. Soos restaurant conceptualizes the “modern interpretation of Malaysian street food”; and with that said, we had the “Say What?!” moment – the deer staring in the headlight kind a look.  We were not familiar with the menu choices, nor how to pronounce the names; however, the server did an excellent job informing us what to expect in taste, texture and she also gave us a quick pronunciation tutorial.

The food was bursting with flavours and textures! We started with Keropok (kerr-OH-pock): this is a house made prawn crackers, complimented with the Soos peanut sauce.  My husband’s main course was Laksa, (lag-sa), which is chicken, prawn, tofu ball, falangal, mee, vermicelli and curry broth.  I feasted on the Char Kway Teow (char-way-ow): this is tiger prawns, chives, sambal, beansprout, egg drop and charred rice fettuccine.
